A gifts from above.

Here us Tanner when we walked in.

My sister in-law posted this on face book.
Some one was doing FREE dental for kids ages 5-12 for families that need it.
Well I jumped on that right away. I only got Tanner in because he does not have insurance. my other kids do.
This was Tanner first time going to the Dentist.
I have always been afraid to go.
I always thought Tanner was going to bit off fingers.
It took many years for him not to hit and yell at the Salon and they just touch his hair.
Anyways my husband and I talked about what noises he was going to hear and what they would be doing.
We told him about the chair, light, what they would be wearing.
I also to him about fingers being in his mouth and he should not bit them.
When we got there he was doing fine not great but fine.
The first thing that he said to the Hygienist was " Don't worry my mom told me that you are going to stick your fingers in my mouth and not to bit them"
She had a good laugh.
but then the melt down began.
They wanted to take pictures of his month and we forgot to explain it to him.
The only thing we forgot and the easiest thing he feel apart.
The minute we said "OK tanner were not going to do that" he sat down open his mouth and said
"OK then start cleaning my mouth."
He did great after that latter he told me that he wants to be a Dentist.
Thank you to light house
here is there web site.http://www.lighthousesmiles.com/

Tanner was trying to talk to her for the whole time.

Here is Tanner helping him count his teeth Oh and he has no cavities : )

How many of you have tried this with your fake Christmas tree –
using the car fresheners that smell like pine and hanging them inside the fake tree.

Or

you might be over weight .......

You know those red neck jokes. Well here is mine
You might be over weight when your Doctor of 9 years ask you "when your baby is due",
as you are holding your 6 months old in your arms, AND as he rubs your belly too.
Yes this is my life.
The only thing that makes me laugh was watching his face. I really could see the wheels turning in his head saying "OH CRAP this does not feel like a pregnant belly.
I quietly told him "um I'm not pregnant"

After that I told myself that I have to change I have to do something about this.
I started to do some exercising with my friends and lost SOME,
but not allot.
During that time my neighbor said I should join the biggest loser group her parents have.
She told me the cost only 35.00 not bad if your husband had a job. I sold some stuff and was in.
I weight in at 170 yes that is right 179 and wore a size 16 AND I was only 5.3
My sister in laws gave me some eating info and work out plans.
Here is the info http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ Love it and it's free.
I did my first 10k June 26 at Lehi day with my sister in law.
She had to wait over 20 min for me. After that
I have done four more 10ks , one 5k and one half marathon.(13.1)
I have lost 35 pounds gone down to a size 8 and will be trying to lost 10 more by the end of the year.
Some of the people that have been inspiring to me is My sister who ran her first 5k with me.
My sister In-law Michelle who has 2 kids, and a very busy life. Every time I see her she is looking healthier and healthier.
And my other sister in-law Mary who has been cheering me and Pushing me to do some of this runs.
But most of all is my FAMILY my husband has been giving up allot for me to run.
Love that man!!!!
I'll be getting some pictures of the 13.1 mile run soon.

One year.

One year from today Rob found out that he lost his job.
One year from today I though he would have found one by now.
One year from today I though we would never make it pass the holiday let alone for one year.
One year ago we lost our income and even some of our friends, but gained true new ones.
One year ago we truly came together as a couple, parents and a family.
One year ago I though I know my own strength but found out that I was allot stronger then I thought.
One year ago I never would of gotten excited about toilet paper and diapers being drop off on our doorstep.
One year ago my baby girl would never sang this song
"Oh where oh where is my daddy's new job Oh where oh where could it be."
and One year ago It would not of made me laugh so hard that I almost wet my pants.
One year ago we came closer to the Lord,
We have learned how to budget, be more frugal. and to REALLY trust in the Lord.
We have seen many blessing and received many gifts from above.
And though we have no job YET our prays have been answered,
our needs have been taken care of and we truly feel his love.
We have a true understanding what it is to
"trust in the lord with all your heart and don't lean on your own understanding. In all things acknowledge him, and he shall direct your way.
( Proverbs 3:5,6 )

I hope this trial will end SOON but if not then I know our needs will be taken care of.
Thank you for all your prays, he does hear them.

If anyone hears of anything PLEASE PLEASE let us know.
Rob has been getting allot of interviews in the past 3 weeks.
I have been teaching off and on.
We are thinking if he does not have a job by the end of Oct then he will be going back to school.
We have applied for Pell Grant and hope to hear soon.
I will be going back to work and then we will be going from there.
If anyone hears of a stay at home job PLEASE PLEASE do share.
Here is rob web site

Hair cut.

Mason has needed a hair cut for SOOOO long, but I can't justify paying 7 to 12. dollars for a baby hair cut.
I know that lots of mom cuts there kids hair, so I starting asking around to see if it would be worth it. I looked around and found a hair cutting set for 20 bucks.
That would pay for it self in two or three hair cuts.
But I need some one to teach me how to cut hair.
The last time I did it was on my little brother
and that was not a pretty site.
His hair line was up to his ears I'm really not kidding

I found a lady in our ward that showed me how to do it.
and I think it turned out pretty good.
I don't have to comb his hair behind his ears any more,
and his hair line is where it is supposed to be.

Here he is with all his hair.
Still very cute but that's a given.

And
now
here
is
the
after.

I know you cant really see the hair cut but it's there.
so much better.

Dirty Dash 10K

We were called " Dirty Moves"
When our family gets some money I would like to order me one.
And yes Rob did the design work.

My friends asked me if I wanted to run this with them. I looked at it and said "why not"
I thinking it would be fun!
It was that and then some.
We started off running in the mud up hill.
Ran some more up hill went throw a blizzard they had a snow machine going with five fans.
Then we ran some more on a trail called Roller coaster and it was.
More up and Down hills.
After that I jumped bailey of hay , climbed up 6 feet walls in the mud and with no rope.
Did the tire run, then climbing over fences ran in streams and mud that went up to my hips
then went down a slide and ending up in a mud pit where the mud was 5 feet deep
I LOVED every bit of it and will be doing it next year.
can't wait.

This one was the starting line.
There was a bigger one at the end of the course.
That one was the one that the mud went up to my hips.

This was our slide we went down on, and yes at the bottom was more mud.

If your going to get dirty then you might as will go all the way.

Back to school!!!

School is here and boy are they ready.
Here is one family that will be going with my kids.

McKenna is in KINDERGARTNER.
She has Mrs Bryson, which was Tanner's teacher and the teacher that I Sub for.
She LOVE being in school.

My Tan Man will be going into Mrs. Bradly Class.
I got to work with her when working at the school.
I think she is the perfect fit for him.

Emma will be doing Pre. School with some of her friends they will start a little latter
she can't wait.
I really can't believe summer is over we had a great time doing things together.
I wish the best for my kids and know they will do there best.
Love you kids

P.S. I asked McKenna how she liked her first day at school she said
" Mrs, Bryson class is way to long."
We had to laugh she is the one the has been doing a count down for school.

Book club anyone.

I stole this idea from my friend. We started a book club for the kids Tanner age. We did the "Magic Tree House" the kids can choose any books out of the magic tree house they read the book, write a report about it.
We have a party every two weeks until school starts then we will try once a month.
Thanks for the idea Miriam

We had six kids plus Tanner.
Noticed Tanner is the only one that is making a mess.

We made book marks, and made Gold Medallion

Camping

Our family went camping for the first time by ourselves.
Everyone was so excited, kids were counting down the days.
Then wouldn't you know it Mom gets sick.
I was not going to let anything stop me so I still went.
Me being sick made me forget about Mason and trying to make him comfortable. I had to drive him home and then return back to the camp late.
So we still need to work on Mason liking camping OK just the sleeping part of it.
Any suggestions?
I think we tried everything, let him cry it out; did that for 4 hours.
Let him fall asleep in your arms and then put him in the tent; did that 5 times.
Try driving in the car and then put him in his bed; did that three times.
You see I love to camp, but from last night you really couldn't tell.
We have a ward camp out in a week and I think we might have to take two cars, and I really don't want to do that.
So PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

The Magic Hat.

We had a DI drive. I was in charge of getting volunteer in our ward. It takes many hand to do. Anyways I went on Friday to help set up and found this hat I could not pass up.
I had not idea that it was going to bring this much joy.

Yes even Robbie got into it.
