My girls!

Rob and I were talking about Tanner games and how much we love watching him play. Rob told me of a thought he had when he was watching the girls cheer and play. He told me hey those two girls are going to be best friends.
I laugh at him and said we will see.
Latter that day I was setting in my living room folding laundry when I hear my two girls sing and giggling. I thought Tanner was out there playing with them but when looking out the window he was no where to be found.
The two girls were having fun together yes together, not fighting but laughing!
I asked the girls if they were having fun this is what they told me.
Emma: Yes mom McKenna is really fun she is a girl just like me.
McKenna: Yes Emma I'm a girl too. You can play with and have fun.
When putting the girls down for their nap Emma wanted to sleep with McKenna and McKenna let her.
Who knows maybe they will be best friends after all.

I just wanted to add My sister and I were and are great friends, but we are like 6 or 7 years apart.
We shared a bedroom together and played lots and lots of board games together.
I know it is possible but man sometimes I think I'm going to pull my hair out.
I'm glad today they are getting along and will cross my fingers for tomorrow!!

T-ball

We signed Tanner up for T-ball and boy do I love watching him play. His first game was on Wednesday and man was he SO excited. The night before he sleep with his mitt on.
His team is called Saratoga Springs Rockets Tanner thinks it great.

I love watching Tanner play it has really brings the kids together. I love to hear the girls cheer for him and tell him what a great job he is doing.
Tanner is trying to teach them how to play the game.
He is teaching them how to holding the bat and trying to teach them not to throw like a girl.
I have no idea where he learned that from.

I have to apologize for the photos I'm still on bed rest so most of them were taken from my chair.

Rainy days and no T.V.

Do to our spring weather (rainy) and the fact that our T.V doesn't work, We have to resort to other activates. Now I'm suppose to be on bed rest but I'm just going to have to settle with just some rest. One sure thing I can do laying down or sitting is reading books to my kids. I think we read about 3 to 4 hours a day so a part time job. I have to get creative with the book just for my sake. Some of my kids favorite books are

Miss Spider Tea party
Pinkalicious
Purplicish
The hungry Caterpillar and,
Anything with, Diego, Thomas the train , Cars, or Frogy in it.

after I read some book I like to do a actives with them. Here are some ideas
Pinkalicious make cupcake I got this from a friend
Purplicous draw or paint there own picture
The very hungry Caterpillar Make fruit salad With the song from the Wiggles going on in the back round Fruit salad
The very busy Spider you can make a spider web see pictures.
Emma likes this one Brown bear you can go to this site and find temple and play a fun game with it.
this is what you do
you color the animals any color your kids would like them. cut them out, put them into a bag and pull them out while say
"brown bear brown bear what do you see I see a ......... looking at me"
And you can't forget Miss spider tea party this one is easy have a tea party McKenna loves that one. There are others but I'll save that for another post.
Please I would like to hear some of your ideas. I just read this one from Miriam's blog that I will have to do "Read Little Red Riding Hood" and then make rice crispy treats.
What fun!!!
Please tell me I'm running out of ideas and have to stay on bed rest for two more weeks., maybe longer.

This activate is really kid friendly.

Mom's little secret.

OK we all have those things that we tell our kids that aren't really the truth but it helps you get the job done without a fight. Will here is one of mine.  Emma lately has been putting up a fight about getting in the bath tub and WASHING her HAIR. I tried everything buying her princess shampoo, new bath toys, goggles for her eyes, a hat so the soap would not get in her eyes, bath tubs crayons, singing her songs, and a new towel. When out of frustration I said, " Emma we need to wash all those bugs out of your hair" Emma quickly said "what mom I don't want bugs in my hair wash them out fast"
So every time we get ready for a bath she always says "mom don't forget to get the bugs out"
Bad thing about this is she tells everyone she has bugs in her hair and that sounds like we have lice or something like that.

So that's one of my little secrets what is your? I know you guys have one or two?
