I'm proud to be an american part 2.

The oath of allegiance:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

In some cases, USCIS allows the oath to be taken without the clauses:

". .that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by law. ."

This is Chief Magistrate Judge Samuel Alba

At the end of the ceremony we they played God Bless the U.S.A by Lee Greenwood .I think at this point everyone had tears in there eyes. I the whole ceremony lasted about for about an hour.

They gave us the last document when we went out the door.
I'm truly proud to be an American, to be able to Vote, and to get a passport. I hope that I can be an example to my family. Again I would like to say Thank you for all the people that helped and Thank you to my wonderful husband.
God Bless AMERICA!

And the Winner is?!

On Saturday I entered Emma in a baby contest (held by the Orem Freedom Festival). I thought it would be fun for she and I. To my surprise, I received an e-mail back telling me she is the winner of her age group, over 1500 applicants, the largest of all the groups. And since her group was the largest it makes her the Grand winner. She has the honer of riding in the 4th of July parade and she gets to have her own photo shoot done, along with other prizes. Emma has had the good fortune to be choosen this time as a winner but, I think all my kids are winners and will be just as successful and just as cute even if they haven't won a medal.

This is not the outfit she had on. I just wanted to post a picture of her.

Traditions.

Today we talked about traditions in church. We started with what does tradition mean "to hand down" or "to hand over." So now that we know what it means do we have any traditions we do as a family? Here is one that we do.
For those of you who don't know Rob and I had a baby that we lost, our first year our marriage. His name is Conner Edward Hawley. Will every year we buy presents for a boy of Conner age if he would of lived. Last year Tanner picked out the toy witch gave us the perfected opportunity to explain he has a Big Brother in heaven.
I listened to other traditions to see if I could pick up some more. Here some of them I liked.

1-Each year the whole family brings 20 pictures of their family throw the last year and make a pictures or a video show.
2-One family has a Daughters Day this day happens in Aug. and is celebrated just like Mothers days. I really think that I would like to do that. I would also like to have a Boy day as well.
3-I can remember this one. When I was growing up we got to chose our dinner on our Birthday.
4-Having Family home evenings is a great tradition. Saying your prays together is another one.
5-I like this one but not for the obvious reason. One family would eat there Sunday meals about 2:00 and then eat Popcorn and candy the rest of Sunday.
After she told her tradition she then explain the reason why. Her mom and dad said the kids hated Sunday and would always complain. So the parents took there problem to the Lord and this is what they came up with. (Genius)

I would like to start some more traditions. So please share your traditions.

Here is one more Tradition we started, On the first day of spring I let the kids paint a bird house and then give it to some one. Last year we gave them to the people that bought our house. This year we gave them to Nana and Grandpa.

Saving the day.

Tanner has been home from school for three days and already says "he would like to go back to school." So I invited some friends over I just didn't think they would be two girls, I think that they saved me. They gave Tanner the attention he need, and I got to spend some time with my two girls Emma and McKenna.

Stroller.

On Friday I went running with my two girls. I run about 4 1/2 miles every other day. Everything was going great until we hit the down hill full run, When my front wheel came off. The stroller flip over and the girls ended up with a goose bump and road rash all over there face. A wonderful lady helped us she gave the girls the cutest stuff bear and bandaged them all up. The girls call her (teddy bear Grammy) I was worried about concussion for the whole day. The girls are fine and so am I, but I don't want to run with them until I got a new stroller.
Because this stroller was over 400.00 I wanted to call the company and ask them what they will do for me.

On Tuesday I called the stroller company and they are going to ship me a new stroller. They were wonderful about every thing they will pay for the shipping for the old stroller, plus give me a new one. Even tho I've had this stroller for 3 years. They told me that this is never never never suppose to happen. So now I'm just waiting for my NEW stroller. The girls are so happy and so am I.

My new running stroller. (Dreamer design)

I have found out that most company's will work with you Huggies is a great one as will as Gerber. So the moral or this story "If you have something that you are not happy with call the company and see what they can do for you."
